Metal Braces

Metal braces exert constant, gentle pressure on your teeth in a controlled direction. This slowly moves your teeth to their corrected positions. We offer traditional metal braces for both children and adults.

Ceramic (Clear) Braces

Would you feel self-conscious with traditional metal braces? If so, ask Dr. Siara-Olds if you’re a candidate for ceramic (clear) braces. Ceramic braces are a discreet option because they blend in with the natural color of your tooth enamel.

As the name suggests, Invisalign® is a series of nearly invisible aligners that move your teeth little by little into their final desired positions. These aligners are made out of clear plastic and fit snugly over your teeth.

Orthodontics for Adults

It’s never too late to get braces or aligners. In fact, the American Association of Orthodontists reports that 1 in 4 orthodontic patients is an adult. Many adults decide to get orthodontics to improve their oral health and the appearance of their smiles.

Phase 1 Orthodontics

We may recommend that your child start Phase 1 orthodontics if they have a moderate or severe problem that’ll only worsen with time. Since Phase 1 orthodontics typically happens between the ages of six and ten, it’s also called “early interceptive treatment.”

Phase 2 Orthodontics

The goal of Phase 2 orthodontics is to finish what we started in Phase 1 and bring your child’s teeth and jaws into perfect alignment. We’ll start Phase 2 once your child has most or all of their adult teeth, which is typically between the ages of 11 and 13.

Limited Orthodontics

Not all patients need comprehensive orthodontics. If you only need small cosmetic changes to your smile, Dr. Siara-Olds may recommend limited treatment. This treatment focuses on teeth in the “smile” zone that show when you smile and talk.

Orthognathic Surgery

Orthognathic surgery (also known as surgical orthodontics) is a type of orthodontic treatment used to correct severe cases that include bad bites, jawbone abnormalities, and malocclusion.

Dentofacial Orthopedics

Dr. Siara-Olds specializes in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. While orthodontics refers to moving teeth, dentofacial orthopedics refers to guiding facial growth and development.

We understand that you may be reluctant to wear another appliance after orthodontic treatment. (We promise we’re not trying to torture you!) But wearing your retainer will help you maintain the progress you’ve made.
